Membership grades
Fellow
Fellowship of the Association is open to existing Associates of the Association who are over the age of thirty and have been a member for a minimum of five years.
Direct entry to Fellowship is open to Fellows of other approved accountancy bodies, e.g. Institute of Chartered Accountants.
The Fellowship subscription rate is £39, paid monthly by standing order. This includes all the benefits listed in the benefits of membership section.
Associate
Associate membership of the Association is open to persons over the age of twenty one who have successfully completed the Association's scheme of qualifying examinations, or been exempted therefrom, and have a minimum of three years approved practical experience in the office of a practising public accountant within the United Kingdom.
Direct entry to Associateship is open to associates of other approved accountancy bodies, e.g. Institute of Chartered Accountants. Direct entry to Associateship is also open to mature experienced accountants who have been a principal or partner in a U.K. based firm of practising public accountants, for a significant number of years.

Student
Student must be over the age of sixteen and engaged as a trainee in the office of a practising public accountant within the United Kingdom or be in full time education engaged on an approved course in accountancy.
